A detailed behind-the-scenes look at our latest 3D-printed and hand-fabricated proof-of-concept maquette, created by the Genesys EFX team for the Kevin Hart x Draft Kings Casino commercial campaign. Based on a design by Lindsay Zir and further developed with Senior Costume Concept Artist Rob McKinnon Sr., this prototype served as a physical study of silhouette, balance, character intent, and functional movement before full costume construction and shooting.

Maquettes like this allow us to merge digital sculpting, high-resolution resin printing, and practical finishing into a unified workflow—giving production teams, directors, and designers a clear preview of how a character will look and perform in the real world. These early-stage builds are a key part of our process across film, TV, commercial, and live entertainment projects, helping translate early ideas into real, testable physical form during pre-visualization and build planning.
